I'm currently working as a lecturer in Media and Interactive Media at Liverpool John Moores University. My interest is in narrative and oral history. I have a background in video production having worked on promotional and educational titles for a variety of educationalists and charitable organisations. More by accident than design, I was drawn to the burgeoning new media industry during the early1990s and soon found myself involved in developing a range of new media educational applications as part of a small team of dedicated and professional new media practitioners. During this period I was also also investigating a variety of research themes exploring the feasibility of applying interactive media practice in the capture and dissemination of local heritage and oral history of region. I now teach interactive media at the University and my blog attempts to capture some of the early spirit of that period and help disseminate my current interests and media experiences
