Level 6 student James Walsh has recently been working on a documentary film which explores the impact of consumerism on the natural world.

The film focuses on Palm Oil production and the environmental consequences it causes in South East Asia such as destroying habitats for its plantations. This greatly effects many species in this region but due to human “needs” for palm oil in many every day products, it is a problem that is unresolved to this day.

This documentary will also explore possible solutions or a means of mitigation of the effects that help send so many species to the endangered list.
