Start of term

Another year begins and we welcomed our first years once again with a tour, led by the Liverpool Film Office of some of Liverpool’s fantastic locations.

Here we are on the street used in Peaky Blinders.

We visited Falkner street and Falkner square where Hugh Grant and Meryl Streep shot the film Florence Foster Jenkins this summer. Everyone is always surprised to hear that Liverpool’s ‘world heritage’ waterfront and docks is often used as Victorian London, Eastern Europe and New York. This ability to represent so many locations makes Liverpool the most filmed in city outside London and a great place to be a media student!
